This Friday we are delighted to be sharing an unrivalled twin-village luxury mountain experience in the Swiss Alps. The five-star Twin Peaks itinerary will see guests staying in two Haute Montagne chalets, one in Verbier and one in Zermatt, with private guided skiing in both Switzerland and Italy.
The world-renowned ski resort’s Zermatt and Verbier are among Switzerland‘s iconic mountain destinations, both with varying extraordinary characteristics.
Zermatt is an iconic Alpine destination with its awe-inspiring Matterhorn looming large over the historic village. Surrounded by 14 glaciers and an extraordinary 38 peaks rising above 4,000 m, it is little wonder that Zermatt has made National Geographic’s Top 20 must see places. With a strong mountaineering history, rich culinary culture and magical vistas, Zermatt has the ability to capture the hearts and minds of everyone who visits, from famous artists to adventures (and even chocolatiers).
Verbier, its equally glamorous and memorising relation, is located about 40km due east of Zermatt and offers an entirely different mountain ambiance. Renowned the world over as a free-ride skiing mecca, Verbier is surrounded by extensive and varied terrain, with easily accessible off-piste routes and incredible sun-drenched slopes facing south over the Combins and Mont Blanc Massif. Après ski in Verbier is just as dynamic as the skiing, with some of the most exclusive restaurants, bars and clubs in the Swiss mountains, all contained in one village.
But how to experience both resorts to their fullest (or even choosing between the two)? Haute Montagne has the answer with our exclusive Twin Peaks experience. And to reflect the resorts themselves, it is a rather out of the ordinary and special experience.
Haute Montagne’s Twin Peaks week-long ski itinerary gives guests the opportunity to split their time between luxury chalets in Zermatt and Verbier, for example the acclaimed 7 Heavens Chalet Elbrus in Zermatt and the brand new Chalet 1936 in Verbier.
Within the beautiful luxury ski chalets, Haute Montagne will provide our bespoke and highly tailored “limitless service” with a full operational team in the chalet looking after every detail. The team comprises of a highly qualified chef, chalet manager or butler, team of hosts, housekeeping and dedicated driver.
Helicopter transfers to and from the airport and between the two chalets, with housekeeping packing and unpacking all suitcases on arrival and departure, mean guests will not have to lift a finger while soaking up the most the Swiss Alps have to offer. Alongside the in-chalet offering Haute Montagne propose organising a number of bespoke activities that will make this Twin Peaks adventure a truly unique once-in-a-lifetime experience.
Twin Peaks Experience highlights
Acoustic Après Ski
Highlights of the itinerary include a private “Acoustic Après Ski” experience atop a mountain only accessibly by helicopter. Guests will sit at a table carved out of ice whilst dining from a lavish oyster and seafood bar. Wrapped in thick furs and blankets they will sip on Haute Montagne’s signature ‘La Source’ spiced pear and gin cocktail from the ice bar, while listening to a private après ski acoustic set.
Michelin Star dining experience
A private tasting menu by two Michelin star Chef Ivo Adams will be prepared in front of the guests, within the comfort of their luxury chalet! Zermatt is world famous for its incredible restaurants, yet none are more renowned than Ivo Adam’s After Seven restaurant. A trip to this restaurant is at the top of the to-do list for many Zermatt visitors, however, guests of Haute Montagne will be the rare few to get ultimate bragging rights with Ivo Adams visiting them personally at their chalet.
Sunrise Ski touring
For active guests, a sunrise ski touring excursion guided by their personal Haute Montagne organised Twin Peaks instructor will be a morning to remember. Weaving through a tree lined path in Verbier guests will see the sun rise over the mountains. Those strong enough to make it to the summit at Croix de Coeur will be rewarded with skiing down un-tracked, fresh corduroy piste all to themselves.
A balanced trip
Set yourself up to return home feeling refreshed. Include into the itinerary private yoga classes after your morning skiing, a consultation with a holistic health and nutrition coach and a choice of massages, facials, manicure and body treatments in the comfort of Chalet 1936’s spa.
Experts at your finger tips
Guests will have their own experienced Twin Peaks mountain guide or instructor with them throughout the entire week. As with all Haute Montagne stays, we will provide in-depth pre-arrival care ensuring that every last detail of the experience is attended to from pre-arranged ski hire and private in-chalet fittings, to a precise meal and menu brief to ensure the chef delivers breakfast, afternoon tea and evening meals that are refined and tailored to the guest’s taste.
All itineraries of the twin-village luxury mountain experience in the Swiss Alps will be personalised to the specific wishes and dreams of each group.
