The same sky-high, super-luxurious ski resorts that bring thrilling adventure each winter remain open for business during the beautiful summer months.
Here is our guide on what to expect from our captivating alpine villages this summer:
Montreux Jazz Festival
Easily reachable from Verbier, Gstaad and Crans Montana, this is a one of a kind festival on the glistening shores of Lake Geneva. Running from 3rd – 18th July you can expect the likes of Lionel Richie, John Legend, Mary J Blige and Jamie XX just to name a few.
Summer in the mountains: Gstaad
Home to the most exclusive boutiques and restaurants, Gstaad is a picture perfect summer destination.
Rolling pastures, wildflowers and traditional farmhouses provide a stunning backdrop to the wide variety of sporting events on offer this summer:
Property: After all the excitement of world-class sport, guests can retreat to Haute Montagne’s Chalet Lottie – an original farmhouse dating from 1867, which is now a masterpiece seven-bedroom iconic Alpine home complete with an outdoor hot tub. Among a plethora of original features, including the authentic wooden beams and panelling, beautiful sculptures and striking art have been combined to create a show-stopping property. The chalet’s secluded and elevated position makes for breath-taking views of the surrounding peaks.
Prices start from CHF 19,000 per week for up to 14 people.
Summer in Crans Montana
Golf’s top-flight Lee Westwood and Sergio Garcia are teeing off in Crans Montana this summer for the ultra-prestigious Omega European Masters. Taking place between 23rd – 26th July, ticket holders can watch four rounds in a spectacular setting of sun-drenched green pastures with views of spectacular snow-topped mountains in the distance.
Property: Such an occasion requires truly exquisite accommodation and Bramble Ski’s Chalet du Bonheur offers luxury in bundles. Recently completed, the stunning Chalet du Bonheur nestles in a forested enclave close to the centre of the village of Crans Montana. Built using traditional wooden timbers and natural stones the chalet has become a luxurious freestanding five-bedroom home. The ground floor houses a spa with gym, sauna and hammam, while doors can be thrown open onto the terrace and garden where a large hot tub sits, surrounded by forest.
Prices start from CHF 45,900 per week for up to 10 people.
Summer in Verbier
One of the most prestigious resorts in the world, Verbier is as famous for its elite visitors as it is its vast terrain and this summer invites the world’s best show jumping horses and equestrian greats for Verbier International Jumping. Against a panorama of the stunning Alps, sporting memories are set to be made between 14th – 23rd August. Meanwhile, a lack of snow means that Verbier is perfect for running, hiking and cycling in the summer months, not least for the professionals who enter the Grand Raid Marathon on the 21st and 22nd August. Cyclists will endure a gruelling 125km race over rugged terrain that’s only for the brave hearted.
Property: If the mere thought of such a challenge exhausts, then Haute Montagne’s Makini – with its individual spa including indoor heated pool, luxury hammam and sublimely relaxing Jacuzzi – is just the ticket. A magnificent five-bedroom Alpine home, this chalet sits majestically on the banks of a glistening pond in the highly desirable Hameau development.
Prices start from CHF 100,000 per week for up to 11 people
For guests looking for sublime views from their summer chalet, Bramble Ski’s Alpin Roc is perched high above Verbier and just a stone’s throw from some of the best hikes on the mountain. In the evening relax in the perfectly positioned hot tub to watch the sun go down over the mountains in the distance.
Prices start from CHF 10,220 per week for up to 8 people
