Winter events

St Anton celebrates the start of the season with the yearly ‘Aprés Ski Hits’ party. The world-famous Mooserwirt hosts one of Austria’s premium radio stations for their season opener, with plenty of live music too.

The end of each season sees the legendary White Thrill, the toughest ski race in the Alps—a cult event in St. Anton that draws numerous participants and pushes them to their physical limits. After a gruelling 150m steep ascent, skiers tackle unpisted slopes that demand expert skill. Despite the challenge, the race is full of fun, with many competitors dressing flamboyantly for this iconic annual event. This is an Arlberg tradition not to be missed.

Unlike many other resorts, to ring in the New Year St Anton stages a breathtaking laser show. To promote a more sustainable initiative ‘St Anton Illuminated’ has been ongoing for the last six years, as a commitment to a brighter future. There are two shows on New Year’s Eve, one at 8 pm and another at 11:30 pm, perfect for both families and those who to stay up and ring in the New Year!
